I started LMN Accounting 11 years ago, having been in Accountancy practice for over 30 years.
My work approach is to keep in regular contact with my clients, so that we can plan. The year-end accounts are legally required and totally necessary, but they are the past. I like my clients to feel that they can contact me during the year, and before making any decisions that may affect their business.
Most of my clients have been with me for a long time, which makes me happy. It means that we have developed an understanding. I don’t use jargon, and I’m well aware that they have their profession and I have mine. I don’t expect my clients to know everything about bookkeeping and accounts, any more than they expect me to know about plumbing or hairdressing.
It’s my aim to explain things so that people understand what’s behind the figures, and what the figures mean.
My client base consists of clients from all walks of life. I have sole traders, partnerships and Limited Companies that I prepare accounts and tax returns for, as well as tax return only clients.
